Vehicle De-Pollution
Glazewing are at the forefront of meeting the legislative requirements by offering an environmentally friendly vehicle disposal service.

Glazewing will collect or accept delivery of all makes and models of unwanted vehicles and de-pollute them in their new, purpose built, de-pollution centre prior to disposal.

The End of Life Vehicle Act (ELV) came into force in 2003 with the effect that any vehicle reaching the end of its road-going life must by law be taken to an approved treatment facility (ATF) to be de-polluted prior to recycling. Our site is fully licensed and approved by the Environment Agency and we have an electronic link to the DVLA to issue certificates of destruction.

All oils and fluids are efficiently removed from the vehicles and stored for recycling by our highly trained operators. Once this de-pollution process is complete the vehicle is broken down into recyclable elements: all the plastics, steel, glass and aluminium etc now going on to make new products in today's worldwide recycling markets.
